Axis Institute of Pharmacy, one of the department of Axis Colleges, has organized an CIMAP, Lucknow visit for D.Pharm students to identify the several commercially viable Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs) for the Industry and Society.
In this visit, students had the chance to explore and gain practical knowledge as CIMAP is equipped with a multidisciplinary laboratory, manav garden ,ultra modern instrumentation facilities used in the Development of Herbal Products.
Students also had keen observation of various medicinal plants like Aloe, Turmeric ,Kigelia africana ,Vetiveria zizanioides, Cissampelos pareira, Artemisia vulgaris , Alpinia galanga, Ocimum basilicum.
Students gained a realistic grasp of pilot-scale processing units, extraction technologies of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs) and analysis of secondary metabolites of plants.
